Integrated English 2A
Unit 5 I have my own bedroom
Teaching aims:
1. Review the words of furnishings, colors, numbers, prepositions,
adjectives to describe a bedroom
2. Learn how to buy some furniture with a communication dialogue
3. Practise to do some mathematical training between 100--1000
4. Upgrade Ss’s ability of language listening, speaking, reading,
memorizing, communicating, etc.
5. Encourage Ss to have good cooperation with one another
during decorating a bedroom
Teaching words and structures:
bedroom, window, end table, closet ,desk, chair, lamp, pillow,
bed, air-conditioner, mirror, computer, toys, bin, closet, end table,
curtain, book-shelf, picture, under, left, big, colours, numbers/What
can you see? / Where is the pillow? / How many chairs are there? /I have
a table and a chair in my bedroom. / There’s a bed on the floor. / I can
see a lamp on the desk. / I like my bedroom. / I put the bed on the right.
/ I can make the bed in the morning. / I am playing computer games. /
Do not jump on the bed. / We can’t draw on the wall./What do you like
doing? /I like reading books. ...
New dialogue:
Shop assistant: Can I help you?
Customer: I want to buy a green bed, a lamp and a desk. (May I have ….)
How much do they cost? ( How much are they?)
Shop assistant: Five hundred and eighty yuan.
Customer: Here is six hundred yuan.
Shop assistant: The change for you.
Teaching aids: CAI, RMB,泡沫板做成的小房间和家具模型, 房间照片,信封等.
Teaching procedure:
Step1:进入性活动
(1) Greetings: daily talking about the weather and the day
(2)A song: Table and chair
(3)Revision:
T: I have my own bedroom. (用投影仪呈现自己房间的照片,提问学生一些问题)What can you see in
my bedroom? How many pillows are there on the bed? What colour are the
curtains? Where is the closet? …
接着学生用自己带来的房间照片边指边介绍: I have a small and nice bedroom. The blue bed is
near the window. The curtains are yellow and white. There is a closet
on the left. I put many clothes in it. I have a computer. I like playing
computer games. …
Step2: 主题性活动
Use the CAI to show the contents : Have a empty bedroom and need some
furniture-----In the furniture shop to buy things------To decorate the
bedroom
让学生看配套课件里的课文对话,先粗略了解整个过程和明白整节课的线索,老师再用自做的课件一步步教买家具对话。
T:(拿出一个用白色泡沫板做的空房间) I know some of you don’t have your own bedrooms. Don’t
worry! I have an empty room for you. We can buy some furniture in the
furniture shop and decorate the room into a bedroom. What furniture do
you want to buy?
(1)T show six furniture pictures with CAI to teach the new sentence structure
“ I want to buy a chair, a table and a lamp. …
The whole class read each picture to practise “ I want to buy….( May I
have…)”
T point to any picture and two Ss complete to say out the sentences quickly,
the faster is the winner.
(2)Ss guess the price of the objects on the screen to review numbers 100---1000
and T teach the new sentence“How much do they cost?( May I have….)”
(3)Ss can choose things to buy and do some mathematical training between
100—1000: A bed ¥200+ A lamp¥80 =?(I want to buy a bed and a lamp. How
much do they cost?)/ ¥800-¥720=? (The change for you.)
(4)T show the dialogue then Ss act out and practise the dialogue
Step3: 探索性活动
T 选出四个学生做售货员挂上工作牌,发给他们用泡沫板做的家具,其他学生拿着装有RMB的信封排队去买家具,运用刚学的购物对话, 为下一步装饰设计房间做准备.
Step4: 扩展性活动,整合性活动
T: Do you know how to decorate a bedroom? If you can past 3tests, you
can have a room to decorate. (学生若能过了考验能力的三关, 就能得到个泡沫板做成的房间,最后才能装饰设计自己的房间模型)
(1)TEST1: Listening ability
After listening to the introduction of the little rabbit’s bedroom, Ss
answer five questions about it.(用Flash课件让学生边看边听)
The little rabbit: I have a nice bedroom. There are two end tables, a
blue bed and a big closet. The lamp is on the desk. The air-conditioner
is new and cool. The curtains are green. … I like my bedroom very much.
(2) TEST2: Learning ability
Ss learn a new and simple song: My small bedroom(看哪组先学得又快又好,配上动作.)
In a small small house, there’s a small small bedroom. In a small small
bedroom there’s a small small closet. Beside the small small closet there’s
a small small bed. On the small small bed there’s a small small me.
(3) TEST3: Designing ability
Ss in groups design a bedroom on the computer in 20 seconds: I put the
bed on the left. The picture is on the wall. …(课件里有一个空房间和可用鼠标移动位置的家具图,
学生在规定的时间内设计一个房间, 老师根据完成的时间和效果给分)
Step5: 发展性活动
(1)T give each group a empty room as for reward, then Ss decorate the
room with the small furniture they bought to make their own bedrooms,
at last vote for the best bedroom.
(2)四个组长拿着装饰好的房间模型到讲台上站成一排, 组员描述设计过程: We put the bed on the left. The teddy
bear is on the bed. The closet is near the window. We can put many clothes
in it. …
(3)T: Now you have your own bedrooms. What can / can’t we do in the bedroom?
How to keep the bedroom tidy and clean? What do you like doing in the
bedroom?
Ss: We can sweep the floor/ make the bed in the morning. /We can’t draw
on the wall./ I like reading books /playing computer games in the bedroom.
